Jane Goodall was in Brussels on the 7th of May!
The programme for her visit comprised the Roots and Shoots ceremony at the European Parliament, the unveiling of the first R&S plaque in Belgium at the Foyer des Jeunes de Molenbeek and a combined lecture and celebration at the Théâtre National of Brussels.

Roots and Shoots ceremony at the European Parliament
The annual Roots and Shoots ceremony was held at the European Parliament on Wednesday morning. Almost 350 schoolchildren from Belgium came to meet Jane Goodall and to share their positive ideas to help animals, people and the environment.
Visit to the Foyer des Jeunes de Molenbeek
Jane Goodall then went to the Foyer des Jeunes de Molenbeek, where a Roots&Shoots group has been active since 2012. With the help of the young people, she planted a cherry tree and inaugurated the first Roots&Shoots plaque in Belgium.
Combined conference and celebration at the Théâtre National of Brussels
Jane Goodall rounded off her visit to Belgium with a combined lecture and celebration at the Théâtre National. In front of an audience of more than 700 people and accompanied by the music of BaliMurphy and Kris Dane, she talked about the various stages of her life and shared her message of hope.
