Roots & Shoots school Busleyden Atheneum Campus Caputsteen hosted a Music for Chimps event together with their students. Biology teacher and JGI volunteer Tania Parys tells us more:

It’s hard to find words to describe how wonderful our Music for Chimps evening was for me. On this day, all teachers and students came to school dressed up as animals. Several guest speakers gave lectures and debated with the students about animal related topics. There was a big turn-out: around 150 people attended. Lyrics were projected on a screen, so that people could sing along. The 4th year students surprised us by composing their own song! Parents joined in the action by making and selling food. We were very proud to raise an amount of 1180 € for the chimps!
We’re really looking forward to organize something like this again next school year.
