Dear Friends/Partners of JGI Be,
We are delighted to announce that we have hired our new Executive Director – Anouska Plasmeijer effective 01 January 2020! I know many of you have been following our leadership transition over the past few months. Please know that we deeply appreciate your support, encouragement, and investment in making this transition such a positive one. I hope you’ll join me in giving Anouska a very warm welcome to JGI Belgium.
Anouska joins us from IUCN European Regional Office where she was the focal point of the European Union partnerships. In this role she also monitored EU processes related to multilateral environmental agreements, illegal wildlife trafficking and sustainable development policies. She is a tropical Forester by training with practical experience in Ecuador, completed with a specialization in Forest and Nature Conservation Policy.
Anouska has shown all of us how much she loves the work and cause of JGI Belgium and how thoughtful and talented she is in so many areas of work. Together with the Board, she will set a clear and bold vision for the future of JGI Belgium. She will drive the strategy for JGI BE in terms of fundraising, projects and visibility and work closely with the dedicated team of volunteers and JGI Be partners to implement actions
We are excited about the direction of JGI Belgium and the Board of Directors is confident in Anouska’s ability to carry out our ongoing efforts to bring to life our founder Jane Goodall’s dream to live in harmony with nature.
You can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
