We are always happy to put our volunteers in the spotlight, whose work and support enable us to achieve great results together. Our annual Team Jane Day on 25 September was a combination of learning and entertainment in the beautiful setting of the Meise Botanical Garden. Our volunteers, staff, and board members gathered for a full day to celebrate all the wonderful things we have accomplished in the past year, and look forward to an exciting year that will include quite some amazing events!
Patrick van Veen, behavioural biologist, chimpanzee expert, and a devoted member of the JGI family, treated us to a very interesting talk on chimpanzee behaviour in the morning. The Botanic Garden’s greenhouses were our afternoon stop, where our guide introduced us to the numerous plants found in the various tropical regions of the world. Many thanks to everyone who attended the 2022 Team Jane Day as well as to Patrick van Veen, our guide from the Botanic Garden and all our volunteers who support the Jane Goodall Institute’s day-to-day activities.
