  • Where is my money going?

    Last modified on: 17/04/2024

You choose which project you'd like to help us with by making a donation: a donation for nature restoration, chimpanzee protection or a general donation.

Depending on the project you chose, the money will go towards Belgian and African treeplanting, Chimp Eden or the Dindéfelo Nature Reserve. If you chose a general donation, the money will go towards the project where we still need the most funding.

70% of your donation goes directly to the projects, 17% is used for our local Roots & Shoots programs and 13% goed towards administration.

  • Where will my trees be planted?

  • How long does a Roots & Shoots workshop take?

    Last modified on: 17/04/2024

Our workshops last around 50mn-1h (depending on the questions the children ask at the end) except for the escape game on plastic pollution, which lasts 2h. We come and prepare the game/presentation 10-15mn beforehand (30mn for the escape game), then we proceed with the workshop. At the end, it's time for questions!

  • How do I become a volunteer?

    Last modified on: 17/04/2024

If you'd like to become a volunteer and help us out, there are plenty of opportunities at JGI! We have several volunteer teams, and you can find their descriptions here. Once you've chosen your team, you can fill in the form on the selected team's page, telling us a little about yourself. We'll get back to you as soon as possible!

Once you've registered to become a volunteer, you'll be invited to a welcome call during which you'll receive further information and can ask questions. Normally, we organize a welcome call every two months. After the call, you can decide whether you want to join us.

If you're not sure which team to join, register here. You'll be invited to the welcome call, during which we'll give you more details about the teams and how they work. Once you've got a better overview, you can decide whether you still want to join us and what you'd like to contribute.
